Dr. Mark D. Aginsky, Optometric Physician

Dr. Mark Aginsky is a South Africa-born
optometrist with a penchant for traveling
and studying. Having obtained optometric
degrees in South Africa, England and the
United States, Dr. Aginsky settled in the
Northwest eight years ago after a stint at
the Brooke Army Medical Centre at Fort Sam
in San Antonio, Texas. He resides with his
wife, seven-year-old son and twin daughters.
Dr Aginsky is currently an adjunct professor at Pacific State University.
Dr. Aginsky currently sees patients at our Bellingham and Ferndale Clinics.

Dr. Daniel Best, Optometric Physician
Bellingham, Mt. Vernon & Oak Harbor
Daniel Best was born in Southern California, and worked as an accountant in Santa Ana until 1996. A passion for science and a strong desire to help people led him to pursue further education at Ohio State University, where he completed a bachelors’ degree in biology followed by a doctorate in Optometry in 2004. Dr. Best was thrilled to relocate to Bellingham with his wife and eleven-year-old son, and cherishes living close to the mountains, ocean and spectacular outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
When he’s not testing eyes, you’ll find Dr. Best playing golf and tennis, hiking, kayaking, reading, listening to his favorite jazz and engaged in volunteer child advocacy work.
Dr Best is currently an adjunct professor at Pacific State University.
Dr. Best currently sees patients at our Bellingham, Mount Vernon and Whidbey Island clinics.

Dr. Sukh Takher, Optometric Physician
Bellingham, Burlington & Marysville Clinics
Dr. Sukh Takher was born and raised in Northern California. He received his education at UC Davis and at the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in Chicago, where he graduated with a Degree in Optometry in 2004. Following graduation from ICO he completed residency training at the Roseburg VA Medical Center in Oregon where ocular disease was strongly emphasized. Since Dr Takher is board certified in Medical Optometry, he comes to the practice with the latest training in eye care.
Away from the office Dr Takher enjoys working out, playing basketball, and traveling to exotic places. He is married to Raman, also an optometrist in the practice, and they reside in Bellingham.
Dr. Takher currently sees patients in our Bellingham, Burlington, and Marysville clinics.

Dr. Amenda Chou, Optometric Physician
Marysville and Mill Creek
Dr. Amenda Chou graduated from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 2002 and joined Vision Plus in 2006. As an optometrist, Dr. Chou strives to bring high quality clinical care to her patients. She believes excellence in patient care is achieved not only by performing technical services but also by being a good listener to customize available services to the need of a patient. In addition, Dr. Chou emphasizes proper patient education to improve care for the community she serves. She is an active member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, working as liaison between the practicing doctors in the region and aspiring optometric students. In her free time, Dr. Chou enjoy hiking or skiing in the Cascade mountains and she regularly volunteers for the Washington Trail Association. She is also fluent in Mandarin.
Dr. Chou currently sees patients at our Marysville and Mill Creek clinic.

Dr Nikki Robertson, Optometric Physician
Oak Harbor, Bellingham, Mount Vernon
Nikki Robertson is orginally from East Tennessee, where she was born and raised. She earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from East TN State University, which was then followed by a doctorate in Optometry from The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Dr. Robertson moved to the area with her husband in June 2007 and joined Vision Plus shortly after. When she is not caring for her patients at the Bellingham, Mt. Vernon, and Oak Harbor clinics, she and her husband enjoy long walks with their dog, hiking, and exploring the area.

Toni Ingle, Licensed Optician
Bellingham Clinic Manager
Toni Ingle was born in Everett, Washington and has been a Whatcom County resident for most of her life. She has been a dispensing Optician since 1982 and joined Vision Plus in 2004. She enjoys her free time with her better half, Brad, and their dog Chug. They enjoy the outdoors, camping, and spending quality time at their Lake Samish property with friends and many pets.

Dennis Johnson, Licensed Optician
Marysville Clinic Manager
Dennis Johnson grew up in the Pacific Northwest and after college education and military service worked in medical and technical training fields prior to entering the optical profession. Dennis managed an optical clinic for a large corporation where he consistently earned the highest ratings in customer service, then joined Vision Plus to manage the Marysville optical clinic at Tulalip. The Tulalip clinic coordinates delivery of medical, dental, and optical services to the native population of the northwest region. Dennis enjoys all elements of fly fishing the stillwaters of British Columbia’s wilderness, self-propelled travel, performing and listening to big band jazz.

Samantha Harkness
Executive Assistant
Samantha Harkness, originally from Fenton Michigan, relocated to Bellingham, Washington in 2007 from Roanoke Virginia . She has over three years of experience in the optical field and joined Vision Plus mid 2007. Now residing in Blaine, WA she spends her relaxation time enjoying walks on the beach, motorcycle rides and picnics at the Birch Bay State Park.
